	Foster an Animal

	Maybe you're not ready to make a long term committment to add an animal to your family. Why not consider fostering an animal for the Humane Society/SPCA of Nelson County? Many wonderful animals are destroyed at the Nelson County Animal Control Facility because they are unclaimed or unwanted and there is no space to contain them. Through its foster care program the HS/SPCA is saving about 700 animals a year. You can choose to foster a dog, a puppy or litter of puppies, a cat, or a kitten or litter of kittens. The HS/SPCA will provide spaying/neutering, vaccinations, worming and food for the animals in foster care. We ask you to provide tender, loving care in a safe environment.
