This and her broad professional experience has given her a natural affinity with animals: 30 years as pet groomer, animal welfare activist, animal behavior consultant & trainer, spokesperson for AKC, advisor to municipal shelters & rescue groups, animal therapy participant, foster care home, pet supply establishment owner/manager, pet advice columnist, free lance writer, award winning pet photographer & artist, canine events contender, and friend and partner to her own animal family.

Her initiation of the 1st “pit bull” rescue organization on LI, NY is well known, as is her work to help improve animal and human relationships. Sigrid’s mission is to save animals lives and to help evoke better understanding between animals and people.
