UPDATE:  8/6/2020

Stanley is being treated for heart worm.  He received his first treatment on Aug 3rd. He still has 2 treatments to go.  Even though he must be kept quiet during his treatments.....he is enjoying some extra love at his foster home :)

UPDATE 7/8/2020:

Stanley arrived on 5/28/2020.  He is a little Beagle who is about 5 years old and weighs 28 pounds.  When he was vetted and neutered, he tested positive for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis.  Now that we are taking care of his medical needs, he is starting to feel much better.  While undergoing Heartworm treatment, it is very important that he adhere to a strict regimen of exercise restriction that lasts for 145 days.  During this time he MUST be crated and leash walked only.  He can be adopted during that time IF his new owner agrees to follow protocol and bring him to Lovingston vet for his FOUR vet appointments (Almost Home will pay for them).

Stanley hit the jackpot in his foster home with Marge and now Fonda.  He gets along with dogs all shapes, all sizes, and all ages.

He pays absolutely no attention to Fonda’s cat.

He loves to go on his short leashed walks but will pull and try to follow his Beagle nose if he smells or sees something he finds interesting.  Being a Beagle, he finds many things interesting.

Even though he gets bored sometimes, he is being a great patient while those nasty old heartworms die inside him.

Stanley is a nice, portable size and he is so friendly!  Sigrid says “He seems very good around dogs and he behaved calmly around cats when we tested him with our shelter cats.  He’s a friendly little guy.”

Please contact Fonda at rockfishkayaker@aol.com  to learn more about this precious little guy.

GOOD WITH DOGS.    GOOD WITH CATS.
