Flika is strong, is smart, is a survivor, has been an adventurer, and is  ready now to find out what a caring home is like.

This capable girl is learning how to behave while on lead and finding out  how boundaries can make life better. She treats her room respectfully and  enjoys having a Nylabone to gnaw on at the end of the day. Before she came  to us, she was found wandering as a stray and ended up unclaimed at local  animal control. She is a sinewy 45 lbs. and appears to be about 2 and a  half years old. She is Heartworm negative, has been spayed,  wormed, and  been given necessary vaccinations.

Other dogs can cause Flika to bark defensively. But when she met our  kitties, she was quiet and went nose to nose with a few of the bolder  kittens. She has been friendly and willing with all of the folks she’s met  at Almost Home.

Flika will likely do best with people who enjoy schooling dogs, who enjoy  an athletic lifestyle that could include an active dog. She would excel  with folks who have time, patience, and a secure area for safe playtimes  or lessons.
