UPDATE 3/3/23:   Fun loving Mickey thought life was a party, traveling roads and highways, meeting all sorts of characters, enjoying new experiences.  But, looking thin and uncared for, he was picked up by animal control for his own safety.  Sadly, no one came to claim this happy, young hound (approximately 3 years old).

Mickey came to us with a smile on his face and is ever optimistic.  He loves to play and so far, he hasn’t met a person that he doesn’t think is great. However, he may be too much bounce for very small tots.  He is an active and agile boy of about 50 pounds—perfect for doggie sports like Fly ball or he went nose to nose with one of our senior girls.  He was inquisitive and gentle, but he may not be able to resist chasing a cat on Agility.  He is always ready to go and is just the right age to learn doggy tasks. When he met our kitties, the move. He isn’t overly barky, but he is a hound.

Mickey will do best in a home that has folks who enjoy working with a young energetic hound, and who have a fenced yard where a dog can safely play.
