A REAL LOVER!!!
DATE: FEB 26, 2021
Klaus has been with us since he was a 4-month-old kitten in 2014. He is overlooked because he doesn’t come running over for attention like so many of the other cats do; however, if you hang out in the big room with him (and especially if you are eating something tasty,) he will eventually make his way over to rub up against you. Klaus was diagnosed with pillow paw disease several years ago but has not had a flair-up since 2017. Keeping Klaus’s world quiet and calm to reduce stress seems to be the answer to keeping him healthy and happy. Not sure about adopting a special needs cat? Klaus is also available for long-term foster as a quarantine-mate during the Covid crisis.
UPDATE: NOV 11, 2019 Klaus is a DSH male tuxedo cat, DOB ~ 2015, who is a real lover. He enjoys coming down from his high perch in his room to press his body against you. While not a lap cat, he’s definitely an up-close-and-personal cat, looking for interaction with people. Sadly, Klaus has a medical issue called Pillow Paw, which has occasionally made his feet swell up. We have given him meds, which has kept the problem from reoccurring. Since stress may play a role in his illness, a calm home away from the shelter would make a tremendous difference in his life. Can you open your heart to a cat who hasn’t had it easy — one who is ready to blossom in the right environment? More about Klaus... Not good with dogs.
