PETFIRST OFFERING 30-DAYS OF PET INSURANCE FREE...PetFirst is introducing a new adoption insurance program to all Petfinder member organizations (which includes Almost Home) that provides a complimentary 30-days of Pet Insurance for all dogs and cats adopted.
To activate the insurance, pet parents must call 1-855-710-7387. The insurance is not active until the adopter activates it, and is not retroactive to the date of the adoption. Once their insurance is active, they use the veterinarian of their choice and submit their bills for reimbursement, which PetFirst processes in as little as two weeks.
PetFirst data shows 63% of claims occur after the 30-days following adoption. Extending protection helps keep pets in their homes by mitigating returns for health-related issues and alleviating financial strain on adopters due to high veterinary bills. If you have any questions about the PetFirst adoption insurance program, please contact Chelsea Mull with PetFirst at firstname.lastname@example.org or 812-206-6979. You can also find more information and all program materials at http://pro.petfinder.com/petfirst
